After so many weeks of struggling with the internet connection, I am finally able to post my first blog entry from abroad! :D So much has happened in the past seven weeks I've been here, but I'll do my best to bring my blog up to speed.
SCHOOL LIFE
First things first, the reason I am living abroad in the Philippines is to study. I'm at the end of my fifth week of school at Ateneo de Manila University and it has been truly amazing! My courses are definitely challenging and the workload is intense, but for the most part, I really like my professors and the subjects. I'm taking four 3-credit courses, three Business and one Asian Studies (RD Course).
Below is my class schedule and I know what you're thinking... "YOU DON'T HAVE CLASS ON MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS!?" Yes, I was lucky enough to create a schedule that gave me four day weekends. And yes, I was surprised too, mainly because I heard that two of my courses (LS 170 & 137) only had one section. But don't worry, I'm not wasting my weekends away. Aside from my classes, I joined two student organizations, Tugon and AJMA. I(which I'll be posting about in the near future). I am also the process of finding a short term internship. Hopefully, I'll find one soon!
EDIT: Shame on me...I totally forgot to mention the most important student org of all, the Ateneo Student Exchange Council, which the first org I was officially a part of in ADMU. Everyone on their EB and everyone I've met through them has truly been a blessing to my life. You will definitely be seeing more posts about the ASEC Nation and all fun stuff I'll be doing with them as the semester goes on. (Sorry to my ASEC Family, I love y'all!) <3
